There's a new law going into effect Sept. 1, called "Twogether Texas." It doubles the cost of a wedding license. But if you take 8 hours of "relationship training," your wedding license is free! Having been through marriage classes prior to getting hitched (some 19 years ago, so it must be working) I think this is a great idea.

Nearly 70 children participated in this summer's MusiCamp at Wilshire Baptist Church. The group learned the music, drama and choreography for a musical in one week. Neighborsgo contributor Mark Wingfield has all the details.

On Aug. 18, a week before the official start of school for RISD students, Lake Highlands Elementary opened its doors to welcome the three and four year old children of RISD employees. For the rest of you set to start Monday, post your first-day photos, thoughts and stories.
Thanks to Frisco's Superdrome is celebrating its 10th anniversary just in time for the Beijing Olympics and do they have a deal for those who couldn't make the August games. It's called "Friday Night Superdrome Points Series" and it's an opportunity to actually participate in some pretty exciting races.
